Jean-Luc Cognac is a blend of the last two barrels of Jean Luc Pasquet, Jean's father and founder of the eponymous brand. These cognacs were harvested and distilled in the 1990s. The marriage of the barrels was carried out by Jean Pasquet and gives this vintage all its fullness. The nose first presents pear and very ripe apple, then come tropical notes followed closely by aromas of late harvest. On the palate the tropical flavors return to the mango, the whole is fruity and very pleasant, some notes of liquorice and rose make the whole thing very balanced. The finish is of good length, without aggressiveness with lingering notes of very ripe fruit completing it. Jean-Luc's Cognac is a part of the Pasquet family history in a bottle, a tribute!
