Combining the fruits of three distinct terroirs, Cognac Park VSOP is a unique expression of the art of blending. Using only Ugni Blanc grape varieties, this expression is composed of 40% Fins Bois, 40% Petite Champagne and 20% Grande Champagne. The goal was to create a VSOP that could seamlessly transition between elegant florals, rich fruit, and a creamy mouthfeel, handcrafted in small batches for precision. Aged for a minimum of four years, Park VSOP was matured in lightly toasted new oak barrels as well as older barrels. The result is a versatile and well-balanced Cognac that any connoisseur would be happy to own.
Park Cognacs are produced by a family business that dates back to 1880, when Gaston Tessendier, a mathematics professor, acquired a vineyard in the Cognac region. Looking after the vineyards himself, he was such a successful part-time winemaker that he expanded his area and eventually built a distillery to produce wines and cognac. Over time, the company grew into one of the largest bulk suppliers in the entire region and still remains in the family to this day.
In the capable hands of brothers Jérôme and Lilian Tessendier, these fourth generation distillers decided in 2005 that it was time for Tessendier to not only supply Cognac to other suppliers, but to bottle their own range. Since then, six brands have been created, including Cognac Park. All Park Cognacs are produced from grapes free of chemicals and pesticides, creating pure, high-quality eaux-de-vie at low prices. The idea behind Cognac Park is to produce delicious Cognacs that are affordable for everyone, focusing on the liquid inside the bottle rather than fussy marketing - and their achievements certainly speak for themselves!
