Etsu Double Orange Gin and Etsu Double Yuzu Gin are distilled at the Akita Distillery, in Akita Prefecture, Japan on the island of Honshu. Akita Prefecture is located on the coast of the Sea of Japan and extends east to the Ōu Mountains, Japan's longest mountain range. These are the mountains from which Etsu Double Orange Gin and Etsu Double Yuzu get their fresh and light aromas.
Etsu Double Orange Gin and Etsu Double Yuzu Gin have been macerated for seven days using traditional Japanese botanicals.
After maceration, only the gin is distilled without the botanicals, which allows the oils to infuse. Only after the distillation process is fresh water from the mountains added, which gives these gins their fresh taste.
