Since 1819, sugar cane has been grown on the Domaine de Saint-Aubin , in the south of Mauritius .
It is there, on rolling slopes, that one of the first distilleries on the island was built. A pioneering role, which the Domaine also obtains in other sectors (ecological tourism, tea production, etc.).
Here is one of the latest creations from this distillery: an aged rum having rested for eleven years in the shade of its cellars. For more than a decade he was able to patiently develop his flavors.
The Compagnie des Indes noticed this sleeping jewel and selected it to appear in its catalog.
Exquisite scents of mango and raspberry invite us to taste this sumptuous timeless rum, and we then fall under the spell of elegant vegetal and floral notes. A beautiful finish, which opens with woody notes, convinces us.
A great Mauritian rum!
