Presented as one of the exclusive Collection Cognacs organized by Grosperrin, the Grosperrin 1973 Petite Champagne Vintage comes from a family of notaries who have been established in Cognac for several generations. Today, Grosperrin is dedicated to the selection and aging of old cognacs and their distribution.
Petite Champagne Vintage Cognac 1973 is a testament to the vintage, which is renowned for taking 20 to 30 years to fully age. This 1973 cognac has aged for more than 45 years in barrels. It is characterized by a maritime climate and chalky soil.
Grosperrin cognacs are never made with caramel and added sugar, and are aged in the original barrels when possible.
Eye : Old gold color, almost amber.
Nose : Cardamom, turmeric and black pepper, quetsch and plums. Warm notes of cedar and sandalwood.
Palate : A fruity delicacy with notes of ripe Mirabelle plum, prune, chocolate and cinnamon. Spicy notes of nutmeg and tobacco. A finish of licorice and ginger - light and simple. The rancio of a well-aged Cognac appears in the finish.
