Led by the famous Mark Reynier, the project put the emphasis back on barley, at the heart of the final aroma of a single malt, thanks to an ambitious triptych Terroir, Traceability and Transparency.
Inspired by the greatest winemakers and thanks to the tremendous richness of the Irish terroir, coupled with elite and avant-garde production methods, the distillery created the event with a Single Farm Origin range praised by critics like amateurs.

This year, Mark Reynier and his team return with a series of 3 new Single Farms, as accomplished, precise and complex as ever.
This edition was distilled from barley grown and harvested in 2015 by Martin Foley on Hook Head in the far south of County Wexford, known for its lighthouse and changing climate.
Strongly marked by the clayey and loamy soil, but also by salty storms, sea fog and ocean breezes, this expression reveals very beautiful spicy (nutmeg, white pepper, etc.) and mineral notes which complement each other wonderfully. its malty and gourmand character.

Malty and spicy. Nutmeg, chocolate, zesty citrus fruits.
Tasting
Nose : Mineral and gourmand Citrus zest, bread crumbs, nutmeg, white pepper, caramel, milk chocolate, salted popcorn, oak, earthy, herbaceous and farm notes
Appearance : Straw
Taste : Malty and spicy. Nutmeg, white pepper, salted butter caramel, licorice, ginger cookie, spicy chocolate and citrus fruits
Finish : Long and spicy. Although dry, the finish leaves a very persistent oily and spicy character.
