Nikka's first distillery, Yoichi is located on the coast of Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan. Produced using traditional methods, such as direct heating over a coal fire, the malts perfectly display the authentic character of this exceptional place with their marine and finely peaty notes.

Tasting
Nose : Fresh and grassy. Fruity notes soften the first nose. The peat is discreet, allowing the aromatic palette to fully express itself. With more aeration, pastry aromas emanate.
Appearance : Bright Gold.
Mouth : Fluid, lively. Pepper refreshes the palate, followed by pastry cream which brings roundness, while the shy peat fades away.
Finish : Long and dry. Moist earth notes balance the woody flavors.
