Nose : both rich and subtle. Magnificently oxidative (beeswax, cherry brandy, prune), the first nose evolves with class towards tertiary and exotic registers overflowing with lyricism: linden, chestnut, porcini mushroom, mango, pineapple, guava. Allowed to breathe, empyreumatic notes of Russian leather, apricot kernel and flambéed banana deeply permeate the taste buds. Then come cocoa powder and candied apricots, accompanied by scents of tuberose, heather honey and tiger balm.

Mouth : lively, sharp. Impressively youthful, the attack on the palate is lemony, vanilla and milky (coconut, almond). In the mid-palate, candied apricots and bitter oranges release a juice that is both sweet and tangy. The finish is refreshed with infusions of marjoram, peppermint and chamomile.

Finish : long, full-bodied. At the start of the finish, flavors of grated ginger, cashew nuts and red tea delicately coat the palate. Oily, the aftertaste is marked by notes of pipe tobacco of great nobility of expression. Deliciously liquorice and praline, the retro olfaction also restores polish flavors (wax, wood varnish, sandalwood, old furniture). The empty glass reveals aromas of undergrowth (moss, mushroom, dead leaves) radiating maturity.
