The local crystal clear water is used as an ingredient in the production of whisky, but also to cool the copper on the exterior walls of Fettercairn's stills. This results in strong condensation inside it. As a result, a distillate of great purity is obtained, composed only of the finest vapors. Installed in the 1950s, this distillation process, still unique in Scotland, gives the unique style of the House to its single malts, of remarkable purity and elegance. Fettercairn 22 years is enhanced by aging in our best hand-selected bourbon barrels. A single malt bottled at 47° which stands out for its elegance.
