Description :
Appellation : Listrac-Médoc AOP
Producer : Château Fourcas Hosten
Vintage : 2011
Format : Magnum (1.5 L)
Tasting:
Dress : Deep ruby color with garnet highlights.
Nose : Complex aromas of red and black fruits (cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant), accompanied by notes of leather, tobacco, vanilla and oak.
Palate : Structured and balanced with fine, well-integrated tannins. Ripe fruit flavors mingle with spicy and woody notes. The finish is long and elegant, with excellent persistence.
Various Food and Wine Pairings:
White meats : Pairs surprisingly well with herb-roasted chicken or rabbit with mustard.
Oily fish : Perfect with grilled salmon or seared tuna, especially when accompanied by a red wine sauce or red butter sauce.
Pasta and risotto : Pairs well with mushroom risotto or truffle pasta.
Grilled vegetables : Perfect with Mediterranean-style grilled vegetables, such as eggplant, zucchini and peppers, drizzled with a little olive oil.
Vegetarian dishes : Goes well with a potato and cheese gratin, or a vegetarian moussaka.
Guarding Potential:
The 2011 vintage can be enjoyed now for its well-developed aromas and flavors. In magnum format, it has additional aging potential, potentially improving for another 5 to 10 years.
Service Tips:
Temperature : Serve between 16 and 18°C.
Decanting : Decanting for one to two hours is recommended to allow the aromas to fully express themselves.
