WHISKEY ARMORIK COLLECTION BREST 2024 46% 70 CL
It is on the occasion of the Brest International Maritime Festival that the Warenghem Distillery unveils a limited collection of single malts!
The renowned Breton distillery has partnered with artist Ewan Lebourdais, the official painter of the French Navy, to create the Brest 2024 Collection, comprised of three bottles with artistic variations. When you place your order, you might receive a label depicting the marine world, a beautiful three-masted sailing ship, or the merchant navy.
Crafted from French (specifically Breton) barley, this whisky is a blend of vintages aged in three types of casks: Spanish oak sherry butts, American oak hogheads, and American oak sherry butts. This process, overseen by Master Blender Erwan Lefebvre, has resulted in a captivating profile with a memorable aromatic intensity.
In the glass, one discovers a nectar of a beautiful mahogany color, with rich and powerful aromas. The nose is very expressive, blending ripe fruit with orange peel and chocolate, before revealing an intriguing hint of exotic wood. The first sip is rich, with aromas of chocolate and (exotic) fruit confirmed on the palate. A pleasant sweetness is also perceived, combining chestnut honey and orange marmalade. The tasting concludes with a warm finish, strong in orange and clove.
Brest 2024, a powerful whisky that celebrates its region and its marine world!
