EL DORADO SILVER ALBION 2004 60.1% 70 CL

Traditionally, the production of this rum took place in a sugar estate in the Berbice region: Albion, which used a Coffey Still still.

But it was in a Savalle column still that this El Dorado Albion was distilled in 2004 at the Diamond distillery in British Guiana. It is part of the distillery's collection of rare rums.

After aging for 14 years, it was bottled at cask strength in 2018.

This old rum is the expression of elegance, with a richness of aromas around notes of caramel, molasses, roasting, sweet spices, vanilla and fruit.

Tasting

Color: amber brown.

Nose: the dominant caramel mixes with vanilla, cocoa and molasses. Notes of wood, tobacco and roasting give it a warm character.

Mouth: lively and delicious with pastry notes of sugar, caramel, honey and vanilla. We find woody and tropical fruit flavors (coconut, blood orange, banana, apricots).

Finish: nice persistence on oak, coconut, vanilla and tobacco.
