Plantation Jamaica 2009 Orange Wine Rum, Cask 10, 53.1% ABV, 70 cl

A limited edition rum, single cask!

Distilled from molasses at the Long Pond distillery in Jamaica. This aged rum was matured in bourbon barrels for 8 years, then further aged in Borderies XO cognac casks from Maison Ferrand for 4 years, and finally finished in orange wine casks for 7 months! A truly unique aging process!

This Spanish orange wine is produced in Huelva, Malaga, Andalusia, with white wine macerated in orange zest.

The Plantation range includes blends, vintages, single casks and the Extreme collection.

Alexandre Gabriel owns Maison Ferrand, one of the oldest cognac brands. Under his leadership, the Citadelle gin brand and the Plantation Rum brand were subsequently created. Launched in the 1990s, Plantation Rum aims to offer rums that best reflect their terroir of origin and to highlight double aging, first tropical and then continental. In recognition of his work in seeking out the finest rums, Alexandre Gabriel was awarded the title of World's Best Cellar Master in 2012.
