Nose : refined, profound. With great serenity, the initial aromas lead us through the four corners of the aromatic spectrum. Elegant woody notes, abundant dried fruits (cashew, apricot, raisin), exotic fruits (passion fruit, persimmon, banana), noble spices (ginger, saffron), and heady florals (broom, lily) mingle amidst vast fields of sugarcane. Generous, with aeration, it opens wide, allowing the taster to embark on a journey of discovery through olfactory landscapes.
Appearance : orangey copper with greenish reflections.
Palate : balanced, fresh. The initial taste is remarkably smooth and chocolatey. A few macerated fruits and sugar cane release their sweet juices onto the tongue. Mid-palate, after lingering in the sun, rose and geranium petals delicately settle on the palate. Then, cardamom, cloves, and nutmeg provide a generous touch of spice at the finish.
The finish is long and rich. Careful to allow the taster to marvel at the beauty of the unfolding landscapes, the finish faithfully reproduces the olfactory and gustatory descriptions from the nose and palate. Over time, notes of beeswax lead us into a more heady realm. On the retro-nasal, olives and black berries emerge from winding paths reminiscent of those explored in our earliest childhood. The empty glass is remarkably classic.
