Nose : Dense, deep. Initially, aromas of curry, apricot kernel, resin, camphor, and Armenian paper mingle with heady and captivating scents of freesia, orange blossom, peppery rose, and exotic fruits (mango, persimmon). With aeration, notes of hydrocarbons (gasoline, sleet, burnt wood) linger in the air. Remarkably harmonious, the aromatic profile gradually becomes more medicinal (iodine tincture), camphoraceous, and earthy (gentian, ginseng).

Appearance : mahogany

Palate : Dynamic, powerful. Powdery (cocoa bean), spicy (clove, nutmeg), and fruity (mango, orange), the initial attack quickly returns to empyreumatic notes whose extroverted character is matched only by their seductive power. Flavors of ylang-ylang, eucalyptus, oak, and dried flowers then take over the mid-palate. Tertiary (pine resin, fallen leaf, chestnut, moss), the finish is also fibrous (grated ginger) and delicately chocolatey.

Finish : long, smooth. Intimately linked to the finish, it's layered with freshly grated nutmeg. Evoking an apricot candy or a perfectly juicy mango, the aftertaste gradually reveals itself to be deliciously saline and mineral (schist, basalt). On the retro-nasal, salted caramel, bitter oranges, and dried fruits (almond, apricot, chestnut) harmonize beautifully with quince jelly. The empty glass releases aromas of essential oils, damp wood, and sage.
