FOURSQUARE RUM TOUCHSTONE 14 YEARS OLD 61° 70 CL
22nd version (Mark XXII) of the Exceptional Cask Selection (ECS) series. A blend of fourteen-year-old heavy and light rums that have undergone two types of aging, one part aged in ex-Cognac casks from the Camus house and another in first-fill ex-bourbon casks.
Bottled at 61% ABV, Foursquare Touchstone is a blend of rums distilled in the Foursquare distillery's double copper retort still and continuous double column still.
A rich and smooth mouthfeel, with notes of toast/burnt, brown sugar, roasted almond, citrus, baked apple.
Tasting notes
Nose: Notes of grapefruit peel, dark fruits (cherries), followed by dark chocolate, cashew nuts, caramelized pineapple and pipe tobacco.
Palate: Explosive, citrusy, fruity (pomegranate, toasted almond, hazelnuts). With notes of toasted bread spices, cinnamon and clove.
Finish : Dry and slightly tannic with rich notes of caramel, tobacco and ripe pineapple.
