Nose : Ample, deep. Initially, a thin layer of salted caramel coats the aromatic profile. Very quickly, however, it becomes more empyreumatic (rubber), heady (iris, tuberose), and spicy. With aeration, liqueur-like and oxidative flavors of cane juice and sugar shine with their extroverted character.
Appearance : Old gold.
Palate : Clean and lively. At once fruity (pear, apple), lemony, and vanilla-like, the initial taste is also infused with chamomile. More exotic in its fruitiness (pineapple, banana, coconut), the mid-palate simultaneously reveals a profound minerality (schist, manganese).
Finish : Long and full-bodied. At the start of the finish, flavors of lightly burnt cane sugar, cinnamon, and dried fruit (toasted walnut, date) vie in intensity with floral notes (iris concrete, lily) that undeniably echo the initial aromas. Powdery, the aftertaste is divinely chocolatey and roasted (chicory).
