French and American oak barrels – the latter having previously held Bourbon – were aged for periods ranging from 3 to 9 years. This Martinique AOC rhum agricole is bottled at Domaines Thieubert, the historic home of Neisson .
A rum defined by its richness and vigor, and whose brand name is inscribed on the side of the bottle: 'Neisson's Vieux rum exhales in a harmonious symphony, its blended aromas of wood, vanilla, honey and dried fruit.'
These few impressions, combined with the brand's expertise, already foreshadow an unmissable new product!
Tasting
Nose
A beautiful balance on the nose, dominated by elegant oak which allows the delicious aromas of fruit, vanilla and honey to emerge.
Mouth
The woody structure creates a very controlled whole. The sugarcane notes, although abundant, leave enough space for the exquisite expression of exotic and fruity notes.
Final
The final is generous.
