Nose : concentrated, powerful. Notes of varnish, wood pulp, balsamic vinegar and musk set the tone for a thunderous first nose. Allowed to breathe, apricot kernels, heather honey, the scents of raspberry brandy and salted butter caramel demonstrate the depth of the aromatic palette. Then, scents of rye and prune come to the forefront with fanfare.
Appearance : topaz.
Mouth : lively, sharp. At the start of the finish, cinnamon and grated ginger try to calm the heat of a distillate which, however, quickly becomes milky (coconut) and roasted (coffee, mocha). At this moment, it is appropriate to highlight the magnificent unity of tone that unites the nose and the mouth. Gradually, caramel, licorice stick and biscuit flavors provide a lot of sweetness and creaminess in the mid-palate. The aftertaste is marked by notes of tobacco, praline and coriander.
Finish : long, balanced. Soothed, the start of the finish is abundantly fruity (fresh fig, banana, pineapple, candied orange, Napoleon cherry). Gourmet (almond paste, raisin cake), it lingers with notes of zan, quince jelly, rose petal and Turkish delight. The retro-olfaction depicts a field of rye at harvest time and the empty glass is strongly spiced (cinnamon, cloves, paprika), herbaceous (hemp) and toasted.
