Château d'Etroyes is a Burgundy estate located in Mercurey, in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, whose wines come entirely from the 50-hectare vineyard, spread across the terroirs of Mercurey and Rully.
GRAPE VARIETY: Pinot noir
AREA: 6.85 hectares
VINIFICATION: Total destemming, 3-week maceration in temperature-controlled tanks, pumping over and punching down.
AGING: In barrels for 12 months with 25% new barrels.
TASTING NOTES: Deep, intense ruby color. A very powerful nose of red fruit, spices, and toasty notes. The ample and powerful palate suggests excellent aging potential; the tannins are silky and smooth. The finish is reminiscent of a highly aromatic Burlat cherry that bursts in your mouth, releasing all its aromas.
