"Les darons" means "the fathers": a vintage that aims to be representative of western Languedoc, the southernmost French vineyard in the hexagon, based mainly on Grenache (at the origin of the Languedoc appellations).
75% Grenache / 5% Carignan / 20% Syrah
France / Languedoc
Deep red with purplish highlights.
A nose of "fruit yogurt" notes, with aeration reveals fruit (blueberry, plum and blackberry) and spices (cinnamon, white pepper).
The palate combines breadth and tension with a dense, silky texture. Ripe tannins are effortlessly integrated thanks to the fruit and freshness. A powerful, full-bodied, and flavorful finish with abundant spice and resinous, menthol notes.
