Chichibu II: The new chapter of a cult distillery

Chichibu II, launched in 2019, builds upon the foundations of Ichiro's Malt while scaling up production. Larger and more experienced, it is designed to offer greater variety while maintaining the meticulous, refined, and inventive spirit of Chichibu whiskies. Direct fire stills, careful fermentation, and carefully selected casks: everything is in place to create a signature full of character.

This first official release from Chichibu Distillery II reveals a profile brimming with promise: honeyed sweetness, deep fruity richness, and a smoky touch that emerges gently but makes its mark right through to the finish. Intense, but never overwhelming—a whisky to fully appreciate its complexity.

Tasting profile

👃 Nose : Sweet vanilla, honey, juicy pear, candied pineapple, then slightly smoky nuances, blond caramel.
👅 Palate : Rich, with a beautiful texture: apple, pastry cream, honey, cinnamon, a note of toasted walnut, subtle smoke.
🎯 Finish : Long, slightly woody, residual smoke and a nice malty warmth that lingers.
