Château de Corcelles owns nearly 87 hectares of vineyards, located in several appellation areas. It produces Beaujolais white and rosé, Beaujolais-Villages and 3 Crus: Brouilly, Morgon and Fleurie.
Grape variety - Gamay
Vineyard: 4 hectares in the Fleurie AOP on granitic sands. The vines range in age from 30 to 70 years. The plots are located to the southeast of the town of Fleurie and to the north, bordering the Moulin-à-Vent appellation and its famous Rochegrés climat.
Winemaking and aging: 150 harvesters pick the grapes, selecting them carefully, and they are then sorted again in the bin. Vinification takes place in state-of-the-art facilities, using traditional Beaujolais methods. Maceration lasts 15 to 20 days with twice-daily pump-overs. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks before bottling in early summer.
Tasting notes: The wine is brilliant, red with violet highlights, and the aromas exude a subtle blend of fresh floral notes and concentrated red fruit. The elegance of the aromas is enhanced by a balanced, round palate, complemented by silky, fine tannins.
Serving suggestions: It is best enjoyed at 12°-14°. It pairs perfectly with all types of white meats, but also stands up to more flavorful dishes (leg of lamb).
