It is characterized by its 13-year age statement, a guarantee of quality, and by a finishing process in a different type of cask for each expression, reflecting the Chivas brothers' penchant for discovering new aromas. Master Blender Sandy Hyslop and his team carefully monitor the influence of the casks on the whisky, a meticulous task during which the quality of each batch of Chivas Extra 13 Year Old Oloroso Sherry is individually assessed. The finishing period is not fixed: the process relies on the know-how, expertise, and art of whisky blending. Chivas Extra 13 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask is the result of a blend of whiskies aged in Oloroso Sherry casks, and a selection of rare Malts aged for a minimum of 13 years, giving it richness and aromatic intensity.
