Tasting notes

The nose of this 2021 Colore is infused with notes of fruit, spice, and complex hints of leather. The tannins beautifully structure the palate. The intensity of the fruit and the assertive character of the Tuscan vineyard are evident. Complexity and intensity are both present!

Food and wine pairings and service

Enjoy with Chianina beef Florentine style, lasagna, or porchetta. Serve at around 15°C.

Vineyard

The vineyards cover 5 hectares on very prestigious plots with 80-year-old vines. Sangiovese peaks between 250 and 600 meters altitude .

Winemaking and aging

- Hand-harvesting and sorting of the grapes
- Gentle pressing and plot-by-plot vinification in barrels
- Fermentation (indigenous yeasts)
- Rearing (20 months in large containers)
