COTSWOLDS Sherry Cask 57.4%, Single Malt Whiskey
Description
The fourth permanent reference from the English distillery, Cotswolds Sherry Cask, is made from a blend presented at cask strength, of 4 types of sherry casks.
We find ex-Oloroso casks made of Spanish and American oak, as well as ex-Pedro Ximenez casks made of oak from the same origins.
Like all Cotswold whiskies, it is distilled from 100% local barley, malted in the traditional way.
Bottled in small batches at cask strength and resulting from a fermentation of nearly 4 days, this single malt is marked by full aging exclusively in ex-sherry casks with wonderful notes of dried fruit, sweet spices and black fruit.
A Cotswolds single malt even richer and fruitier than average, that's saying something!

Tasting notes
Nose : Caramelized and indulgent. Brown sugar, cherry tart, roasted coffee beans.
Palate : Rich and smooth. Basket of dark stone fruits, chocolate, toasted almonds.
Finish : Long and spicy. Notes of wood, pepper, and dried fruit.
