Near Beaune, the Chorey-les-Beaune appellation stretches out at the foot of the village of Aloxe-Corton. The soil is composed of marl-limestone alluvium on a stony base, deposited down from the Corton hill over the centuries. This very dry subsoil is ideal for vines, and the Chardonnay planted here produces lively and fruity wines.
