Sommelier's tasting notes for this vintage, La Gloire de Mon Père:

• Visually: Deep red dress with purple highlights.
• On the nose: The nose is very ripe with black fruits, licorice, chocolate, violet as well as toasty nuances.
• On the palate: The palate is generous with a dense and tight tannic structure; throughout the tasting, the aromatic complexity is present, alternating between fruity and floral notes while intensifying the chocolate and licorice aspects, finishing with a very nice woody note.

What dish should this red wine from the Southwest be paired with?

This red wine, with the AOP Côtes de Bergerac designation, pairs wonderfully with dishes such as beef, poultry and mild cheese.

It will be excellent with pork Osso Buco with orange, a ham pie or snails Bordelaise.
