Old Brothers : a beautiful ode to camaraderie, illustrated by the complicity of the two founders of the brand, created in 2017. An independent bottling company, whose first vintages, with very high strength, caused a lot of ink to flow among Heavy Rums lovers!
Here we discover a premium old rum , produced at the Bielle distillery. From column distillation, this agricultural rum aged for 8 years in Bourbon barrels until 2011 , the date of its bottling.
This is a Single Cask , bottled without reduction, at the natural strength of barrel no. 591: it is therefore also a Cask Strength . A limited edition of 359 bottles.
Tasting
Color: A golden hue, with orange highlights.
Nose: The nose is in a pastry register, offering pleasant scents of frozen nougat, calisson and custard. Coconut and candied orange peel complete these first flavors.
Mouth: In the mouth, it is the citrus fruits that prevail: mandarin, orange liqueur… Then the spices and vanilla gradually find their place.
Finale: A finish which ends with pleasant notes of cocoa and spices.
