History/Origin : Héritiers Madkaud XO 12 Year Old Rum is an aged agricultural rum, benefiting from the Martinique AOC designation. It is aged for at least 12 years in oak barrels under the tropical climate of Martinique. The Héritiers Madkaud distillery was founded in 1895 by Félicien Madkaud, son of a slave born free in 1857, and is today run by Stéphane Madkaud, his descendant.
