For this vintage of the Under The Sea collection, Plantation Rum is launching the small batch Venezuela 2010, a molasses rum distilled in a column still. Eight years in a tropical climate in bourbon cask were followed by 4 years of aging in cognac barrels. Bottled at 52% alc, Plantation Venezuela 2010 is remarkably balanced, carried by an aromatic of exotic fruits and spices.
Tasting
Nose : Delicate and rich. Nutmeg, honey, vanilla, tangerine, coconut, walnuts and Brazilian coffee, with light floral notes.
Taste : Spicy and woody profile with notes of peanuts, tobacco, almond, oak, pepper with crème brûlée, pineapple and dried banana.
Finish : Long and dry on hazelnut, leather, mango, orange, banana and cloves.
