The Whisky Jury's Ester Hunter series explores the most extreme expressions of Jamaican rum, focusing on distillates with very high ester content. This Catch 5 , from the Hampden distillery, boasts an impressive level of 1300 to 1400 g/hlpa , clearly placing this expression in the category of the most intense high ester rums.

Distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2025, this rum has been preserved without artifice: no coloring, no chill filtration. The result is a direct and radical interpretation of the Hampden style, where long fermentation and esters dominate the aromatic profile with a confident intensity.
