A pure moment of emotion! That's what Chichibu's first single malt release offers. Everything about it is magnificent, down to the smallest detail. This masterful work is thanks to the talent and dedication of Ichiro Akuto, the founder of this distillery destined for a bright future.
A limited edition of 7400 bottles, including 1800 for France.
Nose : Ample, refined. First sequence: tobacco (Havana), flowers (violet, hyacinth), peat, and malted barley. Second sequence: citrus (grapefruit) and exotic fruits (banana, pineapple). Third sequence: roots (ginseng, gentian), salt, and spices (pepper, clove, nutmeg).
Palate : Superior, generous. If the nose is captivating, what can be said of the palate except that it is absolutely magnificent? At once fresh and heady, fruity and saline, tannic and smooth. The erosive work undertaken by the peat reveals a subtle minerality (chalk, lava, schist).
Finish : Long and complex. Its notes of fresh walnut and heady flowers (lily, iris, tuberose) are captivating, and the peat gently takes hold of the palate. The empty glass and the retro-nasal aroma are in perfect harmony, full of voluptuousness, charm, and persuasiveness. Magnificent.
