This limited edition of Chichibu, from cask no. 7076, has aged for 7 years in a bourbon cask that previously held a peated whisky , giving this single malt a unique complexity between vanilla sweetness and subtle smoky echoes.

The nose is warm, dominated by vanilla, coconut, and light caramel, with a subtle smokiness in the background. On the palate, the cask strength is immediately apparent, but quickly gives way to a lovely roundness, with ripe fruit, toasted wood, and a hint of dry peat. The finish is long and lingering, with slightly medicinal and woody notes.

A Chichibu full of contrasts, playing with the codes of peat without ever overdoing it. For curious enthusiasts and discerning palates.
