The definitive expression of Waterford, The Cuvée is a permanent edition, the standard-bearer of the distillery. It is the result of blending barley from 25 farms, in a way the sum of 25 Single Farm Origins. A single malt of great complexity, The Cuvée reflects the identity of each of these terroirs. Waterford's characteristic approach to traceability and transparency is at its peak, since it is possible to trace the journey of each of the “Single Farm Origins” used in its composition. Complex, its profile is marked by the malty character typical of Waterford. This edition combines fruity and floral aromas of great finesse, delicate gourmet and spicy notes as well as a vegetal and mineral touch.
Deep, complex. Ripe banana, lavender, marmalade.
Tasting
Nose : Complex and delicate. At first nose, aromas of red apple, bread crust, lavender and orange appear. They are then completed by scents of ripe banana, coffee biscuit, and fresh mint as well as herbaceous, farm and mineral notes.
Taste : Deep and spicy. The attack is delicate, with spices (nutmeg, white pepper) and citrus fruits (grapefruit, lemon zest). Gourmet notes of dark chocolate, grilled toast, candied cherry and marmalade then develop, enhanced by a vegetal touch (dried grass, anise, black olive).
Finish : Long and oily. The notes of sweet spices prolong the gourmand character of the palate.
