The estate: The family estate of Raphaël & Marylène Sallet is located in Uchizy, a charming village in Saône et Loire in Southern Burgundy (10 km South of Tournus and 20 km North of Mâcon).

At an altitude of 260 meters, its vineyards benefit primarily from an east-southeast exposure, overlooking the Saône Valley, on gently sloping, stony soils rich in limestone and clay. With a temperate climate, this is often considered the gateway to Provence, with its Romanesque roof tiles and warm winds from the Rhône Valley that sweep through Lyon and up the Saône River to Tournus. The estate's vines are located in the villages of Uchizy, Plottes, and Chardonnay, which is likely the historical birthplace of the famous grape variety of the same name.
