A deep, intense purple robe. An enchanting nose, with pure and precise fruit, underscored by mineral notes characteristic of its terroir. The full and elegant attack leads to a fresh, dense, and silky mid-palate. The tannins are chiseled; the finish, impressively long. A harmonious and energetic vintage. A great success.
To the north lie two prestigious neighbors, Mouton and Lafite. The Pontet-Canet vineyards, located in the commune of Pauillac, cover 81 hectares. That's about a hundred plots and nearly 800,000 vines overlooking the Gironde estuary.
Pontet-Canet is the first major renowned Bordeaux estate to embark on organic and biodynamic farming, and the first to obtain double certification across the entire vineyard within the Grands Crus Classés.
