Description

Diekirch Grand Cru is a beer brewed by the Mousel-Diekirch brewery in Luxembourg, established in 1871. It belongs to the lager family, a bottom-fermented beer. This amber-colored beer is topped with a white head. The aromas are caramelized and malty, with hints of wood and honey. The taste is sweet, with notes of caramel and honey, as well as a slightly woody and malty character. It is a well-balanced beer with moderate bitterness and a smooth finish. As its name suggests, the brewery is located in Luxembourg. Founded in 1871, it was originally called the Diekirch brewery, named for its location, and its aim was to perpetuate the brewing tradition of the Recollect monks. The brewery expanded within the town of Diekirch and eventually merged with the Mousel brewery to become the Mousel-Diekirch brewery. In 2002, the brewery was bought by AB INBEV and became the Luxembourg brewery.
