Following Kwak, Brasserie Bosteels has launched its own line of Tripel Karmeliet kegs, compatible with the PerfectDraft beer dispenser—the must-have device that keeps your beer perfectly chilled at all times. One thing is certain: unfortunately, there won't be enough for everyone, and only true connoisseurs will be able to enjoy this holy nectar.

For those who are unfamiliar with Tripel Karmeliet, it's not too late to learn and after all, we are here to help you.

Belgian beer produced since 1996, Tripel Karmeliet is a top-fermented blonde beer with a powerful alcohol content of 8%.

Brewed with three grains—barley, wheat, and oats—in a Tripel style (hence the origin of its name, "Tripel"), its recipe is said to have originated with the Carmelite friars of Dendermonde in the 17th century, hence its name, Karmeliet. Legend has it that a top-secret essential oil is added to the beer to make it even more flavorful and unique. When tasted, it's a golden blonde with a creamy white head and aromas of fruit, malt, vanilla, and spices.

On the palate, its malty and spicy character comes through with a certain power, but it is calmed by notes of banana and yeast, which ultimately gives it a nice overall balance.
