Alexandre Gabriel owns Maison Ferrand, one of the oldest cognac brands. Under his leadership, the Citadelle gin brand and the Plantation Rum brand were subsequently created. Launched in the 1990s, Plantation Rum aims to offer rums that best reflect their terroir of origin and to highlight double aging, first tropical and then continental. In recognition of his work in seeking out the finest rums, Alexandre Gabriel was awarded the title of World's Best Cellar Master in 2012.
