Chichibu, a Japanese micro-distillery whose every release is eagerly anticipated, is innovating with a whisky finished in casks that previously held IPA beer. This single malt is composed of several whiskies distilled between 2010 and 2014. Initially aged in bourbon casks, they were then finished for 18 months to two years in casks that previously held Indian Pale Ale (IPA). Its distinctive character lies in its highly aromatic style, marked by a unique bitterness. This Chichibu expression boasts gentle notes of nutmeg with a beautiful finish of spicy aromas and a touch of bitterness.
