On the Left Bank of Chinon, the birthplace of François Rabelais, lies a vineyard landscape preserved for centuries. Recognized as a great historical terroir since the creation of the Chinon appellation, it is just waiting to reveal its extraordinary potential and unveil its hidden treasures. On these still wild hillsides interspersed with woods, the vines face south and benefit from a very favorable microclimate.

Thanks to the dedication of two generations, Château de la Bonnelière has rediscovered its prestige and original purpose – winemaking. Our vineyard, spanning over 30 hectares, is cultivated organically. It is located exclusively in the villages on the Left Bank of Chinon, which abound with unique terroirs. From these terroirs, we strive to create a distinctive expression in each of our wines.

CHINON "LES GALETS"

Sourced from a selection of alluvial soils on the Left Bank, this wine offers fresh and crisp aromas. Made simply and as naturally as possible, it can be enjoyed from its first year.

Winemaking/Aging: Gentle vinification using indigenous yeasts results in a fruity, enjoyable wine. Following malolactic fermentation, aging continues in tanks in our cellar for 6 months.

Tasting notes: This clear and brilliant ruby-colored wine with hints of violet is very aromatic and pleasant. On the palate, it offers aromas of red fruit (raspberry) and violet, with supple tannins. It has good presence and a very harmonious finish.

Serving temperature: 14°C

Pairings: Pairs well with white meats, poultry, and as an aperitif.
